O, my Father, I know you have told me over and over to Be joyful in hope.
I really want to do that, but sometimes the circumstances of your life (and the condition of this world) gang up on me and make it difficult for to remember to be joyful. When I'm searching for Joy, remind me one of the best places to find true Joy is in hope in Your guiding hand on time and history to bring me into eternal life with You and no matter what happens between now and when You call me home, I can...no, I must find joy in hope, be patient in adversity, and be faithful in prayer...so I offer this simple prayer today to You to increase my joy and my hope for Jesus' sake. Amen.
Verse for Today: "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." (Romans 12:12)
