God, please forgive me when I think worship is to show up in clean clothes, visit with friends, sing some songs, listen to preaching and then go home as if nothing has changes. Teach me...remind me...To worship in spirit and in truth means that I truly worship You. I don’t just go through the motions—sitting and standing at the right times, closing your eyes to pray. It means my heart and my spirit are really praising You, and on the lookout how I can be Jesus in blue jeans this coming week, because I know You are the All-Powerful God, and you expect me to be a DOER of Your Word, for Jesus' sake. Amen.
Verse for Today: "God is spirit. Those who worship God must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24)
