O God, where is ‘church’ today which marries responsibility for the Gospel with accountability. I want to be part of a church who presses me to move beyond my comfort zone to be accountable for my faith. Lead me away from easy and comfortable ‘church’ and into the fray for Kingdom business. Lead me, LORD,this I pray today in Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen
Verse for Today: Jesus came up and said to them, “Fellas, I want to remind you all one more time. I have all the power…all of it…in heaven and here on earth. My Dad have given it to me. Remember that as you go about your lives from here on. Here’s what I want you to do:
- Make new disciples - preach the Gospel to any and everybody who will listen
- Help everybody you touch learn to believe in Me and obey My Words
- Then, baptize them just like you and I were baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
- Then teach them them how to observe everything that I have commanded you;
and listen up, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually--regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 loosely phrased)
