O, my Father, my heart is broken today for Erika Kirk and her two precious children. I confess I do not understand Your permissive will which allowed Charlie's brief life to be snuffed out so suddenly.
I have re-read where the lives of early martyrs flamed the fires of evangelism across the early life of Your church, and I hope and pray that in Your infinite wisdom and understanding Charlie's death will be a clarion call for each of us who claim Your name and grace to be emboldened to do what the Great Commission called and calls us to do.
Please bring comfort and grace and mercy to Erika and her babies in the days ahead and keep me and all of us focused on our home beyond the skies in all we do, because I pray this in the name of Jesus, my savior and LORD. Amen.
