Any of you who know Barb and me know we have failed marriages in our history. Pretty smart rats, we are...but not so much in how to make relationships work properly.
A couple years into our marriage in 1988, the edges began to unravel.
We were fortunate enough to be introduced to Harville Hendrix' new book Getting The Love You Want. It was an overnight sensational hit. It introduced Imago Therapy and the Dialogue Process.
Oprah had Harville on 17 times over the ensuing years and this concept took off like a rocket.
Over the years, this concept has been reprinted hundreds of times and has reached hundreds of million people in multiple languages around the world.
When we "got it"...we began expanding our knowledge of things which make relationships work. We began excitedly sharing what we learned with others. The core of our ministry at 24kgoldmarriage is teaching couples how learn to take turns speaking and how to listen with curiosity and empathy.
