Christian Marriage Counseling
Many couples search for "Christian marriage counseling" when what they actually need is faith-centered coaching that gives them tools, not just sympathy. That is what we do.
A Note on Terms
In Texas, the word "counseling" has a specific licensed meaning — it refers to clinical mental health services provided by licensed counselors. We are not licensed clinical counselors. We are PhD-trained Christian marriage educators and coaches. Many couples search for "marriage counseling" when what they need is education, coaching, and mentoring — and that is what we do best.
How Our Christian Approach Shows Up
- Biblical foundation — Scripture informs the framework, not just decoration
- Prayer as part of the work — we pray with couples and for them
- A theology of marriage that takes covenant seriously
- Honest conversation about sin, repentance, forgiveness, and grace
- Integration with church involvement — we encourage local church community
What We Believe About Marriage
- Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God for mutual flourishing
- Every couple can grow stronger with the right guidance and commitment
- Faith-centered relationships are built on love, respect, and intentionality
- Investing in your marriage is one of the most important things you can do
- Community and mentoring are essential for lasting relationship growth
- It is never too late to transform your marriage from the inside out
What We Don't Do
We don't treat clinical mental health issues. We don't prescribe medication. We don't offer therapy. When clinical issues like depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, or abuse are the primary obstacle, we refer to qualified Christian therapists. We can coach a marriage in parallel with therapy, but we will not replace it.
When Christian Coaching Is the Right Fit
Faith-centered coaching is the right fit when both partners share a Christian framework (or are open to one), when both are individually healthy, and when the marriage needs skills, structure, or direction. Couples in crisis can also work with us if both are committed to rebuilding rather than ending the marriage.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are you Christian marriage counselors?
- We are PhD-trained Christian marriage educators and coaches, not licensed clinical counselors. Many couples searching for "marriage counseling" need education, coaching, and mentoring — which is what we provide.
- Is your coaching faith-based?
- Yes. Our framework is rooted in a Christian worldview and biblical understanding of marriage as covenant. We pray with couples and integrate Scripture into the work.
- Do we have to share your specific church background?
- No. Couples from any Christian denomination are welcome, and couples exploring faith are welcome. We work across denominational lines.
- When would you refer us to a clinical counselor instead?
- When clinical issues like depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, or abuse are the primary obstacle. Coaching cannot substitute for clinical care.
