Prepare for the Marriage, Not Just the Wedding

Premarital Coaching for Engaged Couples

Most couples invest more in the wedding day than the marriage that follows. Premarital coaching at 24k Gold Marriage flips that — we prepare engaged couples for the daily work of building a lasting, faith-centered marriage.

Why Premarital Coaching Matters

Couples who complete substantive premarital education divorce at significantly lower rates and report higher marital satisfaction years later. The window before marriage is the highest-leverage time to install healthy patterns — communication habits, conflict frameworks, expectation conversations — before bad patterns become fossilized.

What We Cover

  • Communication patterns that produce understanding, not defensiveness
  • How to fight fair — and what to do when conflict escalates
  • Expectations: roles, money, in-laws, children, careers, church involvement
  • Intimacy — emotional, spiritual, and physical foundations
  • Faith integration: praying together, serving together, growing together
  • The hard conversations every engaged couple needs to have before the wedding

Who This is For

  • Engaged couples preparing to marry within the next 12 months
  • Recently engaged couples wanting a serious foundation
  • Couples remarrying — bringing children, ex-spouses, or prior marriage history
  • Couples whose church requires premarital coaching before officiating

Format and Length

Premarital coaching typically runs 6 to 8 sessions over 2 to 3 months. Sessions are 60 to 90 minutes, in person in Dallas/Fort Worth — most often in Collin County, near our home by Celina — or virtually anywhere in the U.S. We provide a written assessment, structured curriculum, and homework couples complete between sessions.

Working with Your Officiant

If your pastor or officiant requires premarital coaching documentation, we provide a completion letter at the end of the engagement that satisfies most church requirements. We also work directly with churches that want to outsource their premarital education program.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should premarital coaching take?
Most engaged couples complete premarital coaching in 6 to 8 sessions over 2 to 3 months. Couples remarrying or with complex situations may extend further.
When should we start premarital coaching?
Ideally 4 to 6 months before the wedding. Earlier is better — last-minute premarital coaching has less time to install habits.
Do you provide documentation for our church?
Yes. We provide a completion letter satisfying most church premarital requirements.
What does premarital coaching cost?
We give transparent pricing during a free first conversation. Most premarital engagements are flat-fee for the full 6 to 8 sessions.
Do you work with couples remarrying after divorce?
Absolutely. Dick and Barb have walked through remarriage and blended-family life themselves and have specific curriculum for couples bringing prior marriage history.
