C- confession

C-Confession -- Sweeping Nothing Under the Rug

Father God, I hardly know where to start. It is so easy for me to sweep my failings under the rug and think my "doings" somehow negate my "beings" before You.

Please help me remember I can never DO enough to offset my sinful nature and choices often. Help me be scrupulously honest about my own shortcomings and lay them before You, seeking Your forgiveness. Then make me willing to turn away from those things which are wrong in Your sight.

Today, I confess my failure to pray over my prayer list every day. Forgive me and give me the motivation to be better at this. I confess I am not as good a disciple of Yours as I should be. Help me not lose sight of the Great Commission as I go about doing other "good" things. Make me a better disciple-maker.

I confess my long-term unwillingness to care better for my body. My deep desire now is to help make it the Temple of the Holy Spirit You want it to be. Help me with a willingness to present my body as a living sacrifice to You, as long as I live.

I ask this all in the name of Jesus, who died for me. Amen.
