O, my LORD, how many times I've read your challenge to us and brushed it off. I have nodded my head and said "amen" but neither I nor Your church have taken your instruction seriously...and it breaks my heart.
My heart hurts over the tendency for the church today to be more interested in the Great Comfort than in Your Great Commission.
Forgive us...forgive me for not taking You seriously. Please give us...all of us believers...a renewed commitment to do what You told us to do, for Jesus' sake and for eternity. Amen.
Verse for Today: "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
