Dear LORD, I confess to a level of vanity. I care about how I look and sometimes fret over how much I weigh, or how much hair I'm losing, or the brown spots on my hands and arms...and a bunch more silly stuff. Then I read a verse like this again and am ashamed when I don't recall You are with me in all I do, even in the most menial task. You are always aware of me, concerned with every detail of my life. Nothing escapes Your notice—not even the number of hairs on my head.
Please make me ever grateful for Your loving care, in the strong and watchful name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Verse for Today: “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29–31)
