Father, thank You for offering the same joy experienced by the principals of Jesus birth since I, too, know You and recognize Jesus as my Savior and LORD. You gave me a reason to celebrate when You gave me the unspeakable gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. You came to dwell here for and in me. Jesus. You went to Calvary’s cross for me...even if I'd been the only sinner in all history, You would still have gone to Calvary. You overcame death and rose from the dead for me. You forgive my sins and have given me eternal life since I have accepted Your magnificent gift of salvation.
My joy doesn’t come from my job, my family, my relationships, my finances, or my success. My joy doesn’t come from what I have on earth or even who I am with. My joy is a gift. It is the gift that you gave me the first Christmas in Jesus Christ. My joy is encompassed in my Savior, King Jesus. Flood my heart with joy this Advent season as I reflect on the good news of Jesus birth. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen
