Dearest Lord Jesus,You are the Prince of Peace and the King of kings. We come before Your throne with humble hearts, asking You to continue watching over our nation and its leaders. In these divided times, when we feel more fragmented than ever on the path we should take, we echo the words of Your servant Daniel:
“We have sinned and done wrong… We have not listened to Your servants the prophets…” (Daniel 9:5-6, adapted)
Lord, we pray for deep heart changes at every level of our government—from the highest offices to our local communities—so that our leaders and people would align their decisions with Your holy priorities. Give our elected officials wisdom, integrity, and a fear of the LORD, as it is written:
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases.” (Proverbs 21:1)
We earnestly pray for a mighty revival of repentance to sweep across our land—a sincere turning of hearts back to You. Let it begin in me, right here and right now. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalm 51:10).
Father, we lift up every member of our armed forces who stand watch in lonely places, far from home. Protect them, strengthen them, and grant them peace. We ask You to bring swift and just endings to the conflicts raging around the world, for You alone can make wars cease to the ends of the earth (Psalm 46:9).
All of this I ask in the strong, mighty, and precious name of Jesus Christ my LORD. Amen.
Verse for Today: “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
