Heavenly Father, I come to You today for healing and comfort. I am so grateful for good medical care and for good insurance coverage. I hurt for those among us who have neither and need both.
As we face ongoing health concerns this week, I pray for us, but not for us alone. May You come among us with Your Great Physician hat on and bring grace and healing in abundant supply. Do for us and our close ones what man has not been able to do, and do miracles in our time... in this place... for our Kentucky friends, for our Washington friends, for our Maryland friends. Lift us and all before Your Throne of Grace, and in the strong-to-heal name of Jesus, my LORD, my Savior, my Redeemer. Amen.
Verses for Today:
For healing and compassion:
"He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave." — Psalm 107:20
"Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering... we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted." — Isaiah 53:4-5
For provision and care:
"The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed." — Psalm 103:6
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." — Matthew 25:35
For the Great Physician:
"Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people." — Matthew 4:23
For God's power beyond medicine:
"I am the LORD, who heals you." — Exodus 15:26
