Same Coaching. Same Coaches. Virtual Format.
Online Marriage Coaching
Most of our coaching now happens online. Couples anywhere in the U.S. can work with us virtually using video — the same framework, the same coaches, the same outcomes as in-person sessions.
Why Online Coaching Works
When we started coaching, every session was in person. Then COVID forced everything online. We expected outcomes to suffer. They didn't. In some cases, virtual coaching outperforms in-person — the schedule flexibility means more couples actually show up, the home setting reduces formality, and recording sessions for review is easier. Five years later, the majority of our coaching is online by choice.
How It Works
- We meet over video (Zoom or similar) — couples join from home
- Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, typically every other week
- Both spouses are on screen together — same room or different — works either way
- Materials and homework are sent electronically between sessions
- Recording is available for couples to review key moments after
Who Online Coaching Fits
- Couples outside the Dallas/Fort Worth area
- Busy professional couples whose schedules can't accommodate weekly travel to a coach
- Couples in different time zones (one traveling, one home)
- Pastor and ministry couples who need confidentiality outside their local area
- Couples in rural areas without access to qualified Christian marriage coaches
When In-Person Is Still the Right Call
For most coaching, online is fully equivalent. The exceptions are weekend retreats (which require the physical gathering) and certain crisis situations where the intensity benefits from in-person presence. We coach in person in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for couples who prefer it. Otherwise — virtual is great.
Privacy and Tools
We use professional video conferencing with end-to-end encryption. Sessions are private to the coach and couple — we do not record without explicit consent, and recordings (when used) belong to you. No materials are shared with anyone outside the coaching engagement.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is online marriage coaching as effective as in-person?
- In our experience, yes — and often better, because schedule flexibility means couples actually show up consistently. We have coached couples successfully across the U.S. via video for years.
- Do we need to be in the same room?
- No. Couples can join from the same room or from different locations — both work. Many couples prefer being in the same room; some prefer separate spaces especially in early sessions.
- What video platform do you use?
- Zoom or similar professional video conferencing with end-to-end encryption. We send the meeting link before each session.
- Can we still do online coaching if we live in DFW?
- Absolutely. Many local DFW couples choose online for the schedule flexibility — it eliminates traffic and commute time.
