Dear LORD, no matter how hard I try, I'm still learning to thank You for my hard times and praise You for ongoing troubles, regardless of how I'm feeling.
There are plenty of things which go BUMP in the night where I cannot see Your Hand. There are mysteries I will not understand this side of eternity.
Yet I want to glorify You by always giving thanks, even in the midst of adversity—not because of what I see, but because of who You are and all that You've done for me.
Thank You from the bottom of my heart for carrying me along as You know best. For the unseen protection, the unspoken guidance, the unearned grace.
Help me rest in that for Jesus' sake, and in His matchless name, I pray. Amen.
