Father, my LORD and my Eternal Hope, today I come to You with what feels like selfish dreams. But if You please, if You grant this desire, let me live one day longer than my precious bride, and may we both live as long as we are able to contribute to Your Kingdom's work on earth.
May we continue to have great health and clarity as we do the work You have set before us. Let our minds remain sharp and our bodies strong enough for the callings You have placed upon us.
On one hand, I pray every day that TODAY might be THE Day when You bring the Rapture. My heart longs to see Jesus. But on the other hand, help us redeem each day we have left serving You and telling others about Your great love and grace.
Guide us to a place to worship where the command to Go, Make Disciples, Baptizing them, Teaching them to do what You want them to do... supersedes the need for real estate and programs. Let the mission matter more than the mansion.
Then, Father, capture the hearts and minds of our children and grandchildren. Bind them to a stalwart faith and practice. Bring them home—not just in profession, but in life practice. Let their lives sing of Your truth.
Thank You for today. Guide my thoughts, my actions, my words, and my heart for Jesus' sake. Today!!! Amen.
