Commitment…the glue which holds couples together!

One of my favorite practitioners of strong and healthy marriage is SCOTT STANLEY, of Focus on the Family. Dr. Scott Stanley is a research professor and co-director of the Center for Marital and Family Studies at the University of Denver. He has authored or co-authored a number of popular books on marriage, including A Lasting Promise.

In every relationship the “new’ wears off over time. Routines settle in and some of the visceral romance of the early days fades in the face doing life together.

Romance is only kept alive and well with intentional and regular practice. That is where Commitment comes in. The Covenant which promises to make romance on purpose is the glue which keeps relationships alive and thriving

Think of it this way: Consider you and your mate are in a BOX together and since you are going to be there forever, ask each other, “What do we need to do to make this the most fun we can have for the rest of our lives?”

I dare you to do this.
