Dear LORD, I really want to be able to deliver unconditional love wherever I go. Unfortunately, I don’t always live up to my aspirations. I am so sorry for my failures.
Sometimes I take chunks out of people whom I love and am less than loving to the people who mean the most to me and who need me most.
I thank you for a new puppy who is the embodiment of unconditional love. I really want to be as loving and caring and kind as he is…and as You have been to me.
Make my words today humble and loving and kind especially to my wife, family and friends. I want to be as much like Jesus as I can be today. Please, help me love my wife like my dog loves me.
“Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he’s owned a dog. A dog can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes.” – Gene Hill, author of “A Hunter’s Fireside Book and Hill Country”
