What? Why can’t I be both. You just can’t. You will choose one or the other, and if you don’t choose to be happy, you will be right and alone.
Here’s why. Men and women just don’t think the same way. One is not better than the other…they are just different. Adrian Rogers on his Love Worth Finding has a series called One LORD, One Love. In the second presentation entitled Celebrate the Difference, he describes the differences…It’s worth getting (https://www.lwf.org/products/one-lord-one-love-series)
If two people are in relationship and they are both just alike on everything, one of them is unnecessary. That’s a fact.
Somehow you must learn how to disagree without being disagreeable. You must learn how to allow your partner to have an opinion which differs from yours.
Being happy means you let some things go for the benefit of the relationship. Before you decide to be ‘right’ on a non-essential issue, try closing your mouth and breathe and walk away.
Keep peace in your teepee. Happiness will keep you warm at night…being right at all costs will have you sleeping alone.
