Father, God, I so want to be Your man in the town and space I occupy for as long as I live.
I want to sow the fruits of Your Spirit wherever I go. When I am tempted to be hateful, let me show love. When I am tempted to allow something to steal it, help me to know joy is a choice. When the noises of war and conflict roar, help me me to preach peace
Even when I know what it takes to get it, help me be patient. When I am tempted to be grumpy show me how to be kind…and God I truly want to be a good man in all things.
I earnestly desire to be faithful in my dealings, in my faith, in my home, and keep my heart gentle at all times.
Above all keep my heart heart gentle and under control at all times.
All of this for Jesus’ sake, I pray. Amen
