LORD, Jesus, remind me all day today to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Give me a pause button to take time—not only to think through what I want to say but to listen to the other person.
I so want to listen carefully and pause before responding, please guard me from silly anger, beginning at home. I so earnestly pray this in Jesus’ strong and matchless name. Amen.
