Dear Heavenly Father, I am so grateful to see Your plan of salvation unfolding through Scripture and to identify passages, like Psalm 91, which point me to Jesus, the promised Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world, including me.
I praise You that even though Jesus was fully God, He lived His life in total dependence on You, demonstrating to all Your children — even me — I can live a life of faith and trust in You as my Refuge, myFortress and the God Whom I can trust implicitly.
Father, there are way too many times I have failed to fly to You when faced with the overwhelming circumstances of life, but I pray from this day forward I will live as Jesus lived, in total dependence on Him just as He lived in total dependence on You. This I ask humbly in Jesus’ name and for His greater glory, Amen.
