LORD, my Father…I got up this morning earnestly praying for my children and grandchildren. First, thank You for giving each of them health and life. Thank You for rescuing them from poor choices and bringing the all to maturity.
Here are my pleas to You for their futures: Please give each of them and their significant others a robust faith in You. Help us make that a reality for those who don’t have a relationship with You. Please give them each and all meaningful work to do to provide for their families. Please heal the hurts of the past for them. Please help my bride and me to set a strong example for them. Please give our grandchildren little ones of their own whom they will raise in Your ways.
Father, I’d love to be here on earth long enough to see all my children and grandchildren safe in Your forever family. Keep my mind and body strong enough to do all You have laid out for me to do…and if You will, let me live one day longer than my bride. Thank you, in advance. Amen
