Dear Father, my God and Savior…today has dawned like every other of the 30,774 days since I was born. Today is the only day I have…not tomorrow or yesterday…just today.
I have been sitting reflecting on the year closing today to see if what I traded it off for has had any value.
I’m grateful for what You and I have seen together change lives, but humbled and ashamed for the things I didn’t do or do as well as I should.
All that to say, please help me do more for You and Your Kingdom if you give me another year ahead. Please bless and keep my family and our dearest friends safe and healthy should You tarry another year, this I pray in Jesus’ matchless name. Amen.
Verse for Today: “Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:13-15)
