O, Dear God, my Abba, on this day I reflect back on both my Dad and on being a Dad. I have great joy over knowing my Dad served You faithfully and is today in Your presence.
I am grateful you permitted me to be a Dad, and yet, I grieve over the times I failed in the role. I’m also grateful You do not have grandchildren, and I thank You with all my heart my children know You.
I pray today for our grandsons as they navigate their way into families of their own and pray with all my heart for their salvation and commitment to be Godly Dads when it is their turn.
Please and thank You, in the strong and powerful name of Jesus, I pray. Amen and Amen.
