Father God, we come to you because the people of this nation and everything in it belong to You. I know I am not here by accident. You are the One who set us in this nation at this particular time for the glory of Your name. But LORD Jesus, people in this country are turning against each other.
We no longer live like brothers and sisters. Brothers have turned against brother and children against their parents. But Your word plainly calls for all of us to humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways, and will heal our land. Help me set the pattern wherever I do.
O LORD, heal our hearts, heal this land. Remove bitterness and resentment from the hearts of those who lead us and help us to live as brothers and sisters. Start with me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
