Oh, my Father, I so want to be a good man in Your sight today. No matter what my mind and heart have proposed to do today, give me the answers to guide my steps and my words from Your lips and heart.
I ask You to watch over all whom You have given me to bind up hurts, hold cancers at bay, give clarity about jobs and education, comfort those who mourn today and make me an instrument of Your peace wherever I go today. As I go today, use me as You will, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

In the summer of 1963, I was leading worship in a revival meeting when a little boy ran in front of my car. We were not sure he would survive. That evening I sang this song…the boy survived and this song guides my prayers in supplication continue to this day and onward.
