Dear Lord, my Father and my ABBA, thank You for loving me and caring for me. And, today, thank You for giving me a Godly man to be my earthly Dad. Thank You for his example as a parent, a spouse, a minister, and for the great work ethic he showed me while he was here. Thank You for giving him to me for 98 years…but most of all for taking him home to be with You. I know I will see him again one day.
Thank You for being my heavenly Abba and for allowing me to be Your adopted Son. I am profoundly grateful that out of all the people in Your world, You would stoop to pick me out as a 7 year old boy. Thank You for holding me close even when I tried to get away from You. You are truly a Good Good Father.
Thank You for the other Dads in our family today. Please hold them close to You in all they do. I pray for them to be Godly men of influence in their own homes both now and forever, humbly thanking you and asking for Your tender loving care in their lives, even as I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen
