Father God, I thank You today that Bates and Lucy Ivey brought me into this world 83 years ago. But even more, I thank you for adopting me into Your family 76 years ago.
More special still has been Your tender loving patience with me when I have not been very lovable. I love you, dear LORD, and I want to be Your man here in the space You assigned me until You are through with me. Give me a heart and mind like Yours. Whatever is left for me to do, put me in, ‘coach’ for Jesus’ sake. The longer I serve You, the sweeter it is. Amen.
