Oh, LORD, Yahweh, thank You for preserving Your Chosen People and for your persistent protection of Israel. Because you told us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, on this the highest holy day of Judaism, I pray for Jerusalem and all Israel that they might turn to Jesus for the Ultimate Atonement.
On this Day of Atonement, I am so grateful Your provision for us did not end with the Jewish traditions and that Jesus came to be final Atonement for my sins.
Please keep me in the spirit of Yom Kippur today and hear my prayers of confession for my sins. Please help me be more like Jesus today than ever before, because I ask it all in the high and holy name of Jesus, my God and my Savior. Amen
