Father God, You have called me to be still before You, to rest in Your love as we come down from celebrating Your Incarnation. I am so grateful as we come down from Christmas, You are not only at my side every moment of the day, not just as a baby, but dwelling deep within my heart in Your rightful place as Savior and LORD of all the universe.
Help me to depend on You in all things. Keep me from fretful thoughts and foolish imaginings, knowing that You are now and always my Redeemer and King.
Draw me ever closer to Your heart of love. Quiet my spirit today, still my soul and instill in my inner being Your perfect peace that passes all understanding. Help me I pray, to be still and know that You are God this day, my God in Whom I trust. In Jesus’ name. Amen
