Heavenly Father, as I read the newspapers and watch the breaking news on the TV screen, I recognize the troublesome times which sound a lot like Last Days, where men’s hearts are failing for fear of what is taking place in the world.
LORD Jesus, I know that unless my hope is in You, I too will succumb to the fears associated with worldwide events currently taking place. Please help me not to faint from fear. Keep my heart fixed on You, I pray, and keep me looking to You each moment of the day and help me to trust implicitly in Your Word.
Overshadow me and all those I love with Your love and grace, and draw us into an ever deepening relationship with You. Give me a deepening desire to know You more and to serve You better with each passing day of the new year ahead and give me the peace which passes all understanding. This I ask in the precious name of Jesus. Amen
