Dear God, as I meditate on You this morning, I mourn over the dearth of leadership in our country. I am so tired of so called ‘ ‘ who line their own pockets and are single-mindedly focused on keeping their jobs.
Where, O LORD, are the statesmen and women and those with a servant’s heart in leadership?
I feel like Abraham bargaining with God to find 50, then 40, then 30, then 20, then 10 righteous men in Sodom. Where have all the leaders gone?
Will we ever see the kind of leadership again which turns the hearts of our nation to You? I despair that will ever happen.
O, that You would raise up another generation of Godly leaders at every level in our land and give us another Awakening or repentance and worship.
I pray this every day, LORD, trusting You for the outcomes. Offering this simple prayer to you today in the precious and always righteous name of Jesus, the KING of the universe. Amen.
