Dear God, I reread the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s ‘I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day‘. There are many of us for whom there no peace on earth, in our homes, on our jobs, in our communities…
Give me strength, as I move past Christmas Day, to gain the same hope Longfellow found in his renewed commitment to the message of Jesus’ coming at Christmas to bring peace.
I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for peace in the Middle East, for Awakening in Western Civilization, for peace in Ukraine, for changed hearts in world leadership, for miraculous conversations among nonbelievers, and for the imminent return of Jesus in the Rapture. This I pray in the strong and holy name of Jesus, my LORD and Savior. Amen.
